COVID-19
In the context of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (2019-nCOV) in the territory of the Trans-Baikal Territory, in accordance with a set of restrictive and other measures introduced by the Decree of the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory dated 08. 04 2020 No. 30 (as amended on 06.11.2020), the activities of the court are carried out in compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological requirements established for the period of the spread of a new coronavirus infection: 1. The entrance of visitors to the court building is carried out strictly in the presence of personal respiratory protection equipment (mask, respirator) and, if possible, hands (gloves), after measuring body temperature with a special device; if necessary, hands can be treated with an antiseptic; observance of the rules of social distancing (at least 1.5 meters) is mandatory.
2. Access to the courthouse of persons, subject to compliance with all the requirements stipulated by the decisions of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation and the conditions of the high alert regime introduced in the constituent entity of the Russian Federation (self-isolation of certain categories of citizens, rules of social distancing, use of personal respiratory protection), is not limited.
3. Reception and registration of procedural appeals (documents) from citizens and organizations that applied to the court is carried out through the court reception in the usual working hours of the Sretensky District Court Monday-Thursday: from 8.45 min. to 6.00 p.m., lunch break from 13.00 p.m. to 13.45, Friday: from 8.45 min. until 15.30, lunch break from 13.00 to 13.45.

Powers of the court
Competence of the district court
1. The district court considers all criminal, civil and administrative cases as a court of first instance, with the exception of cases referred by federal laws to the jurisdiction of other courts.
2. In cases established by federal law, the district court hears cases of administrative offenses.
3. The district court has the right to apply on the basis of part 4 of Article 125 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation to the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation with a request on the constitutionality of the law to be applied in a particular case.
4. The district court considers appeals, submissions against decisions of justices of the peace acting in the territory of the respective judicial district.
5. The district court, in accordance with federal law, considers cases on new or newly discovered circumstances.
