Territorial jurisdiction

The territorial jurisdiction of the Yalchik District Court is determined on the basis of the Federal Constitutional Law of 07.02.2011 No. 1-FZK "On courts of general jurisdiction in the Russian Federation" in accordance with the Law of the Chuvash Republic of 24.11.2004 No. 37 "On the establishment of the boundaries of municipalities of the Chuvash Republic and endowing them with the status of an urban, rural settlement, municipal district and urban district."

In accordance with the Federal Law of 05. 04. 2010 No. 49-FZ "On the abolition of some district courts of the Chuvash Republic - Chuvashia", the jurisdiction of the Yalchik district court of the Chuvash Republic extends to the territory of the Yalchik and Komsomolsky districts of the Chuvash Republic.

Reception of citizens (individuals), including representatives of organizations (legal entities), public associations, state authorities and local authorities on the organization of the court's activities, with complaints about the actions (inaction) of judges or employees of the apparatus courts not related to the consideration of specific cases, appeals against judicial acts and procedural actions of judges are carried out:
- by the President of the court - from 08.00 to 10. 00 o'clock on Tuesdays
- by the Administrator of the court - from 08.00 to 11 . 00 o'clock on Wednesdays
- Head of the department - from 8. 00 to 11. 00 o'clock on Thursdays

Powers of the court

The District Court is the basic unit of the judicial system, considering the majority of cases at first instance. In the order of Art. 24 Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation, Art. 31 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, the competence of the district court includes the resolution of all disputes not imposed by law on the supreme courts of general jurisdiction of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, on the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, a magistrate, on the system of military courts and specialized courts (if they are regulated by federal legislation).
The district court is empowered to reconsider the pronounced judicial acts on civil, administrative cases on the basis of newly discovered circumstances in the presence of appropriate grounds provided for in Ch. 42 Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation.
The District Court acts as an appellate court (court of second instance) for judgments passed by the magistrate.
Since a district court belongs to federal courts of general jurisdiction, its powers are determined by federal legislation and are not subject to "clarification" by the legislation of a subject of the Russian Federation.
