The Museum of Nature in Komsomolsk reserve was created in 1986. At the beginning of the 2000s. the vast majority of collections of animals returned to the museum of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, due to lack of proper care and the lack of specialists. In addition, natural stuffed animals are increasingly met disapproval from the audience of children visitors in the consciousness that they are not associated with the reserve and conservation. In the main room of the museum then organized visitor center (2003), and for the museum was given a room where previously housed a warehouse.
In 2008, through a grant from the World Wildlife Fund (Moscow) at the visitor center was organized by a new museum: the central wall, built a large landscape panorama «Heart Reserve», 3D map feature themed showcases.

Spawning river Gorin
The river Gorin is famous for its spectacular scenery and is a natural border to the Lower Amur region promoting complex fauna accompanying coniferous-deciduous forests. Gorin is the largest spawning chum and pink salmon river, pass through the reserve all spawn in its tributaries Gorin and Pacific salmon.

The territory Komsomolsk reserve is a place of traditional nature use of indigenous peoples Amur Region.
